The last stop on our travels was the beautiful city of Melbourne to visit our friend Lisa! Melbourne was named the world’s most liveable city in the world last year and I can see exactly why. It is famous for its hidden laneways, which not only play host to some of the city’s best bars, shops and cafes but also to some of the best street art on the planet. The city offers a blend of sport activities, live music, and breathtaking cultural and heritage monuments. It has an electric atmosphere which completely left me floored! SkydiveSkydiving had been on my bucket lists for ages. When we were planning the trip, it was the one thing I hoped to tick off my list and where better to do it than Melbourne! The jump was 14,000 ft above the beach. We were free falling for an insane 60 seconds. It was the most exhilarating experience ever - No words can actually describe the feeling! Great Ocean Road trip - Day 1Our next trip was 'The Great Ocean Road'. The Great Ocean Road is one of the world's most scenic coastal drives. Five girls on a road trip around South-East Austrailia in 40 degrees heat - It doesn't get much better than that! We saw the most beautiful beaches, cliffs, waterfalls and wildlife .. It was an amazing experience - Nature put on a show at every turn! Great Ocean Road trip - Day 2Jean Paul Gautier ExhibitionWe were thrilled to get the opportunity to visit the Jean Paul Gautier exhibition in The National Gallery of Victoria. There were more than 140 superbly crafted garments on display from the French couturier. The exhibition featured the first dress created by Jean Paul Gautier to his latest collections. We saw costumes worn by Kylie Minogue, Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett. I was speechless looking at his work. The craftsmanship, time, thought and imagination put into each of his pieces was unbelievable – I left the gallery very inspired (Watch this space!) The exhibition is on until mid February. If you are in Melbourne (or anywhere near it), I highly recommend going to see it. The pictures really don't do it any justice, his work is amazing! Melbourne Street ArtMelbourne's cobblestone laneways are plastered with graffiti and stencil art. The colours and designs are breath-taking. World-renowned British street artist Banksy (I'm obsessed with his work!) apparently loves Melbourne and has contributed many works over the years! Here are some pictures I took during my stay! I hope you enjoyed my last few posts about my travels. It has been the best few weeks of my life.. Thailand and Austrailia really is all it's cracked up to be.
If you have the opportunity to go, welcome it with open arms. It's the best thing I've ever done! Jennifer x Click here to read my posts on Thailand and Sydney. (More pictures on my Instagram - Click here to follow me!)
