Hi everyone, I hope you're having a great week. I'm just home from the most amazing week in Croatia. It was my first time there and definitely won't be my last. Everything about it was so amazing. Going by my Instagram and Facebook, lots of you seem to be visiting Croatia soon so I thought I would share pictures of our trip and tell you what we got up to! SplitOur first destination was Split. We arrived in Split on the Sunday night and stayed two nights/three days there. We booked our flights from Dublin to Split via Aer Lingus and accommodation via www.agoda.com (I always use Agoda for accommodation no matter where in the world I'm travelling!) Where we stayed in SplitThe name of the hotel we stayed in was 'Plaza Marchi Old Town Split'. I highly recommend this hotel. It was the most gorgeous Boutique hotel right in the heart of Split. It was like staying on Grafton Street in Dublin - Right in the middle of everything. The hotel itself was gorgeous (Pictures below of our room). It was like a little castle! What we did in SplitDay 1 - Walking tour of the Old Town & Boat tripThere are so many things to do in Split. On the first day, we did a walking tour of Split. As we were staying in the Old Town, we walked all around the little streets and markets, visiting the Diocletians Palace, Riva Harbour, Cathedral of Saint Domnius and so much more. In the afternoon, we decided to do a boat trip which gave a panoramic view of Split. We booked the tickets for the boat trip at the harbour. There are so many different companies selling boat trips so I would say, the best thing to do is take a walk by the harbour and see which boat trip suits you best. I highly recommend the boat trip. The one we did took approx 2 hours - We had the most amazing views of Split. Day 2 - Krka National ParkIf you are going to Split, you 100% HAVE to go to the Krka National Park. I honestly have no words for this place. It is undoubtedly one of the most amazing places I have ever been. It is a series of 7 amazing waterfalls with a walking path throughout. I have posted videos on my Instagram (username: jenniferwrynne) if you would like to see them. The views are breathtaking. We did the walk which takes approx 1.5hrs then went swimming by the waterfalls. Hvar, CroatiaAfter two amazing days in Split, we took a ferry to our next destination, Hvar. So many of you on Instagram told me if I loved Split, I would really love Hvar and you were so right! I didn't actually think I could love anywhere more than Split until I got off the ferry in Hvar. It's the most gorgeous little town (Stunning old buildings & churches). The beaches are incredible - So clean with the brighest blue water! Where we stayedThe name of our hotel was the 'Amfora Grand Hotel Hvar' which was a 5 minute walk from the main square. The location of the hotel was perfect. We were right in the middle of everything! The hotel itself was stunning. Our room was really spacious and clean with air conditioning throughout. They had amazing swimming pools, bars & restaurants. We could have holidayed in the hotel alone for the week! What we did in HvarThere are so many things to do in Hvar so we tried to squeeze in as much as possible! Here's a few things we did: Walk to the top of the ForticaOn one of the first days, we did the walk to the top of the Fortica. There is the most incredible views of Hvar from the top. We did it during the day but lots of people recommended doing it around 7pm when the sun is about to set. Either way, it's a must! Private boat tripThere are so many different types of boat trips you can do in Hvar - Hour long trips, day long trips, group tours, private tours etc and endless amounts of places you can visit. We decided to do a private boat trip as you could choose how long you wanted to spend at sea and what islands / places you wanted to visit. We left Hvar at 10am and visited The Blue Lagoon, The Blue Caves, Green caves, Palinksi Islands, many more little islands and caves (which I'm not exactly sure what the names are!) and beaches in between. We went snorkelling and swimming (You can watch the videos of us on my Instagram page (Username: jenniferwrynne). It was the most amazing day. It was probably my favourite thing to do on the whole trip so if you are visiting Hvar and have the opportunity to do it, then definitely do! We spent lots of days by the pool, walking around the little streets of Hvar and of course, eating in delicious restaurants! Here's a few names of places we ate in and loved: - The restaurant in our hotel; Amfora Grand Hotel - Bonj Les Bains Beach Club - Fig Hvar - Dalmatino - Kod Kapetana What I WoreHere's a quick round-up of what I wore: Outfit 1: White top: Zara White shorts: Zara Runners: River Island Outfit 2: Red top: Berskha White shorts: Zara Runners: River Island Bag: Marc Jacobs Outfit 3: Blue top: Zara Blue skirt: Zara Bag: Chanel Outfit 4: Black top: River Island Polka Dot Trousers: Zara There you have it - A quick round up of my trip to Croatia!
It's definitely one of my favourite places to have ever visited. Many of you recommend visiting Dubrovik so that's definitely next on the list!
