"Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life"

What an incredible week it has been!

On March 25th (Good Friday), I opened the doors of my first boutique here in the Powerscourt Shopping Centre in Dublin 2. 
If you read my previous post, you will know this has been my ultimate childhood dream. I still pinch myself every morning I open the doors. It's everything I have ever dreamed of.

Before I started my Millinery business, I worked in Louis Vuitton in Brown Thomas for five years. I loved working there. Everyday I got up, I loved getting the bus into town, working with an amazing bunch of people, meeting new and familiar faces everyday, selling products I was passionate about. 
Now that I'm back in Dublin, doing something very similar (Except this time, with a little more responsibility!), I remember that buzz I used to get everyday going into work.
I spotted this quote on Instagram recently and thought it was very apt for how I view my work...

None of this would be possible without the help from a long long list of people (Most importantly, my poor Mum & Dad who have been slaving away with me over the last few weeks), my sister Sandra, brother Andrew and many others.

These two gorgeous gals helped me out for the opening. 
You may notice Roisin (Left) from Xpose and a few other shoots she has worked with me on. Always a huge support and willing to help me out (Even if she only gets an hour notice!). She's an amazing make up artist. Check out her work here. 
Lorraine (Right) is one of my very very best friends. ALWAYS there for me - She was steaming clothes and hoovering carpets until 11pm the night before the shop opened. A huge support and very good friend.

We have another little beauty Vivienne joining the team in the next few weeks. I used to work with her in Louis Vuitton - She has amazing style and personality.. I think she's going to fit in perfectly here! 

We are so looking forward to welcoming each and everyone of you into the boutique. 
Sometimes by the way I talk, I make it sound like I'm running a department store - I'm certainly not, lol!
