Hi everyone, Thank you so much for your lovely comments about my make up from Day 1 at Cheltenham! As you all know, I am by NO means a make up expert but i've gotten a good few questions on what products I used so I thought I would do a very quick blog post on it. So here it is from the very beginning....... 1) Primer My first step is to use the 'Charlotte Tilbury' Wonderglow on my skin. I always pop a tiny bit of this on my skin before foundation as it gives a lovely glow. I tend to have quite oily skin but this is not a 'greasy' product if that makes sense?! It just gives a lovely glow. 2) Foundation My go-to foundation at the moment is Georgio Armani Luminous Silk in shade 3.5. I have been using this for approx 12-18 months now and I don't think I'll be changing anytime soon. It gives great coverage to the skin but doesn't feel too heavy or cakey. *Please excuse my descriptions of the products. I'm not a make up artist and don't know the proper language but hopefully you get what I mean! 3) Concealer I used the YSL Touche Eclat under my eyes and on any little blemishes on my chin. I love YSL particularly for under the eyes as I don't find it too thick or heavy. I'm not sure if you agree with me but sometimes concealers are like polyfiller - Wayyy to heavy for under the eyes?! 4) Powder I used Mac Studio Fix over this. I know this is like a second foundation but I find it really good for setting your make up particularly for days at the Races when you're outside and it can be raining and blustery! (First world problems, eh!) 5) Setting powder And to actually set my skin, I use the 'Laura Mercier Translucent Powder' - This stuff is genuinely amazing! I've heard lots of bloggers chatting about this. I've never owned a translucent powder before this one so I have nothing to compare it to but it definitely works for me. My make up literally doesn't budge with it on. 6) Contour I used 'Amour' from the Pippa Palette. I personally prefer a powder for contouring rather than cream contour. 7) Highlight My favourite highlight is 'Lulu' from the Pippa palette. I popped a little bit of this on the top of my cheeks, down my nose and the top of my lip. 8) Blush My fav blusher is 'Pinch O Peach' from MAC 9) Eyebrows I used the 'Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade' to fill in my eyebrows (Or in my case draw them on! - If you follow me on Snapchat (Username: jenniferwrynne), you will have seen me without make up and despite the fact that I have very dark hair, my eye brows are non-existent. I think this came from plucking the life out of them when I was 14! 10) Eye-shadow: I used a mix of the eye shadows from the Bare Minerals 'Nudes' palette. The main shades were; Truffle, Libation, Tranquil and Fate. 11) Mascara I used a black Mascara from 'Catrice' 13) Lashes It was my first time to use the 'Sophia' lashes from Suzanne Jacksons lash range. They are absolutely fab! I am not the best at applying lashes (Does anyone else watch Make-Up Artists and wonder HOW they apply them so easily?) but I have to say Suzanne's are very light and easy to apply. I used the 'Duo' glue from Penneys to stick them on. 13) Lip liner: The nude lipliner from the Penneys PS Make Up Range 14) Lipstick: MAC Plumpful with a tiny bit of MAC 'Fanfare' over it (to lighten it). I then popped some Dior Gloss in #686 over it to add some shine 15) Bronzer: I usually add a little bit of bronzer to my neck. The one that I used is from 'Flormar' 16) And to finish... I used the MAC 'Fix Plus' spray. It's great for setting your make up. I have to say, I love the sensation of spraying something cool on your face. Even if it did nothing for my make up, I would probably still spray it anyway - Feels so refreshing (I'm a weirdo, I know!) So there you have it! As I mentioned, I'm no expert when it comes to make up but I know what products work and don't work for me. Hopefully it helps you too. If you have any questions about what I use, feel free to comment on my post or ask me on Snapchat (Snapchat is the best way to get to me directly!
