Your Wedding day is the most important day of your life and naturally you expect everything to be perfect. One of my favourite parts of my job is working with brides to choose the perfect headpiece for their day. Here are some of my top tips. 1) Use your wedding dress for inspiration.
When meeting a bride for a wedding headpiece, I recommend to bring a photo of the wedding dress and a swatch of the fabric (Of course, it’s even better if you can bring the wedding dress itself!). It gives me an insight into the aesthetic of your look and ensures that the headpiece compliments the dress. Colour-wise, there are many shades of ivory, cream, white, and off white. It’s good to have a swatch of the fabric to ensure the colour matches the dress perfectly. If you’re wearing a very simple dress, go crazy and wear a larger, more detailed headpiece. If your dress is very detailed, perhaps keep your accessories a little more simplistic. |
