Cheltenham Racing Festival 2015 is just around the corner. I’m sure the owners and trainers are busy preparing for one of the biggest racing festivals of the year. For many of us ladies however, our preparation is choosing the perfect outfit!
The weather in March means you need to be prepared for any season. You want to look stylish and feel comfortable – Picking the right ensemble can sometimes be tricky.
Here are some of my top tips:
The weather in Cheltenham in March is usually very cold. A warm coat, hat, gloves and tights are essential.
Choose a colourful coat
March can be dreary so inject some colour into your outfit with a statement bright coat. I picked this pink one up from Fusion boutique in Moycullen. It’s a great colour and really warm.
Liven up a dull outfit with your hat
Whether it’s a trilby, fedora or oversized disc, felt is the perfect material for a Cheltenham hat. Felt doesn’t always have to be black/brown – Why not go for a bright pink or orange?
The races are a wonderful opportunity for me to showcase my millinery so I tend to go a little crazy with the detailing (As you can see from these pictures!)
A day at the races usually means a long day in heels. It is advisable to wear comfortable (perhaps even low heels) but as you can see from my pictures last year, I don’t pass much heed on this rule !

The most important thing when choosing an outfit for the races is getting a complete head-to-toe look. You have to think about the shoes, the hat and the bag.
Dress accordingly for the occasion and most importantly the weather.
