Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great week – Weekend is almost here! :-) The midi skirt with sheer panelling is definitely one of my favourite style skirts. I was in Melbourne earlier this year with two of my friends when I spotted this black one in a shop window. I couldn’t resist popping in to try it on. I ended up buying it in white too (I wore the white version to a First Holy Communion. You can read that blog post here) These skirts are stylish, comfortable and versatile. You can wear them casually, for example with a pair of flat sandals and a crop top. Alternatively, add a hat, a pair of high shoes and you’re sorted for a wedding or a day at the Races! It’s not very often you see me dressed in all-black so when I was putting this outfit together, I knew I wanted to add a splash of colour. The hat I’m wearing is a large red sinamay disc with elaborate swirls in red, black and white. The outfit itself is quite simplistic – It could definitely take a wow hat! My bag is a red clutch from L.K. Bennett. They’ve got a great outlet store in Kildare Village. If you’re looking for a plain, simple clutch, it is worth taking a peep in there as they have a huge selection of bags and shoes in a variety of colours. What do you think of midi skirts? Do they suit your body shape? I would love to hear your thoughts – you can comment below or on my Facebook / Instagram. Thank you Fiona McGuire for taking these pictures for me – Always a pleasure to work with!
