I hope you're having a great week!
This blog post is about a new shape hat which I will be including in my next hat collection (launching in the next couple of weeks!)
Many of my customers who have visited my studio in recent weeks have tried on this shape and it's been a winner all round!
This shape hat has got a few great advantages:
1) It's in the 'big hat' zone but not too big. When going to the races, big is always best. However, at weddings, I find a lot of my customers don't like massive hats as they feel they have to take them off too early in the day.
It's the perfect size for a mother-of-the-bride/groom or guest.
2) It's an upturned brim. An upturned brim means the edge of the hat is literally turning up off your face. The advantage of this is that you can see everything perfectly and you have no fear of shadowing in pictures. This may sound like a silly remark but there is nothing worse than looking back at wedding photos and seeing the beautiful mother of the bride wearing a hat which completely shadows her face.
3) The hat itself is made from sinamay which means it can be made in many different colours. The detailing on the hat is usually made using fabrics (silks, satins, velvets) which means you have even more colour choice.
4) It's held in place by a hairband. The advantage of this - Total comfort!
I'm currently working on my new collection. I'm so excited to share the photos with you all. There lots of new shapes and sizes which I think (hope) you will all love!
You're very welcome to my blog - A compact diary of my work, travels and my passion for fashion!
I hope you enjoy it,
