“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance”
I hope you’re all having a lovely week!
Loads of new things / changes are happening in my little world right now and I’m so glad I can finally share some of them with you!
Over the past few weeks, I have been working on a new Blog. As many of you know, I have been blogging for the last few months over on my Hat website (www.jenniferwrynne.com) but I really wanted to get into blogging a little more. I love to chat about Haircare, Beauty and Travel aswel as Fashion but I felt these categories didn’t really ‘fit in’ on my hat website so I thought, why not give it it’s own little space on the Internet, hence www.jenniferwrynneblog.com was born!
Speaking of haircare, I’m guessing you guys have seen I changed my hair a little?!
This was probably ones of the most random decisions ever!
I mentioned on my Snapchat that I would tell you guys how I did it, who did it for me and most importantly WHY!?!?!
As many of you know, my sister Sandra is a hairdresser. She has been cutting and colouring my hair for years now. It’s pretty much always been the same length, same colour, same style. She’s always begging me to shake it up a bit!
A couple of weeks ago, we were at a wedding and I FINALLY acknowledged I needed to change my hair. My initial thought was extensions. I have long-ish hair and it’s super thick so I’m not sure what I was thinking but anyway, that was my initial thought.
I decided to get some clip in extensions rather than going to the bother of getting them professionally put in as I was afraid I wouldn’t like them and they’re quite expensive (And thank God I did!). The extensions were just weird on me. My hair at the top of my head was wayyyyy too thick and the bottom just wasn’t right. (I’m sure if I got them done professionally they would have been fabulous but the clip ins just weren’t working!)
My next thought was to change the colour a little. Up until this point, Sandra put a brown colour in my hair. It was the same colour as my natural hair but it just enhanced it a little and added extra shine and tone.
Last week, we decided to lighten the end of my hair. The idea was to have it looking like a light balayage. I loved the lighter tone in my hair and so a few days later (When my Mum went to bed!!!), Sandra lightened it with a full head of highlights.
I have to admit, when it was washed and dried, I looked in the mirror and I got a bit of a shock! It was just so weird looking at myself with blonde hair.
The next day I went to work in the Boutique and not one single customer copped it was me but three or four days later, I feel like I have been blonde all my life. I’m totally used to it now!
I’m not sure how long I will stay blonde to be honest but it’s a little change and as they say ‘A change is always good’
My top and trousers in these pictures are from my Boutique and my shoes are Zara. If you follow me on Snapchat (Username: jenniferwrynne) you will know how much I love these shoes. I have worn them at least once every week since I got them. They’re super comfortable to wear!
What do you guys think of the blonde hair? Am I a little crazy?!
I would love to hear your thoughts!
P. S. My sister works in Peter Marks hair salon in Sligo for anyone who would like to know!
You're very welcome to my blog - A compact diary of my work, travels and my passion for fashion!
I hope you enjoy it,
