Last week was super exciting with lots of new business plans slowly but surely falling into place!
On Tuesday, I had the Regional Finals for 'Ireland's Best young Entrepreneur' in Lough Rynn Castle. I have to admit, I was petrified heading in for my pitch!
Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur started with over 1,400 applications received by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices from entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 30, and with an outstanding idea/commercial venture for a start-up or established business.
Three winners were picked in the each County - Best new Idea, Best Start Up Business and Best Established Business. (You can read my blog post on that here). The next step was the regional finals!
Donegal, Leitrim, Longford and Sligo were in my region. I am so honoured to have won the 'Best Established Business' category representing Leitrim. The next step is the National finals in December!
As part of the competition, we are extremely lucky to have mentoring supports, to further develop our business skills. Brian Dolan (Pictured above) has been helping me over the last couple of weeks. I cannot explain how much I have learned in such a short period of time, from business plans to presentation skills - He is an expert and I am sincerely grateful (Thanks Brian!)
As I said, the next stage of the competition is the National Finals which will take place in Google's European HQ in Dublin. The other people in my category are incredible young business people. Their business ideas and level of success is outstanding. Each and every one of them are so inspirational.
Here are some more snaps from the night ...
