Feeling blue!

When buying a Winter coat, I always tend to buy navy or black. I'm automatically drawn to the darker colours because they're so versatile. 
However, when you look through the selection of coats in the shops, there are so many bright colours and bold hues. This year, I decided I wanted something a little more cheerful!

Winter coats usually last me a couple of years - The black one I wear everyday has been in my wardrobe approx five years now!
I knew if I was to buy a colourful coat, I may not get that many wears from it so I didn't want an expensive one. I came across this cobalt blue one in Penneys - I fell in love with the colour and its simplistic style. 
(It comes in a gorgeous burnt orange colour too!)

The necklace I am wearing in this photo is from New Look. I don't normally wear jewellery over coats but I thought this worked great with it - Who doesn't love a little bit of sparkle!?

Have you spotted any nice coats recently? Where would be your favourite shops to buy them? Zara is always a safe bet!
