One of my favourite dresses in my wardrobe at the minute is this black dress from River Island.
As we all know, you can never go wrong with an LBD (little black dress) and when you can wear it as a top, the possibilities are endless! :-)
Last Summer, I was going to a wedding. I had fallen in love with the midi skirt trend and was dying to get the opportunity to wear one.
(See my previous post on 'midi skirts')
I'm normally a dress kind of girl so when I was looking for a top in my wardrobe to go with it, I was lost!
I chanced trying on this black dress with it. Because midi skirts are loose fitting, the tight dress fitted in neatly underneath!
I think it worked well! It was super comfortable - What do you think?
(I don't think anyone copped on the day.. Well I hope not!)
The green midi skirt that I am wearing in this post is from Asos - They have a bazillion colours and styles available.. They're comfortable to wear and so versatile - Definitely worth taking a look!

For the hat, I decided to keep it quite simplistic. I went with a black sinamay front facing disc with green stripes. I think it added the wow factor to the outfit - It brought the look together and made it perfect for a wedding.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
Please comment below or on my facebook, instagram and twitter if you have any questions. As always, I love to hear your feedback!
