Beautiful weather, great fashion, lots of betting (and even more losing, eek), what a great start to Cheltenham race week! For my first day here at the races, I wore a blue dress from the incredibly talented Irish designer Catriona Hanly. Catriona has just started a new range of clothing this year. I came across her designs on facebook and completely fell in love! She uses the most exquisite fabrics and sublime colour co-ordination to create her signature pieces. This particular dress is made from a blue and navy Parisian chantilly lace. The quality of her dresses is amazing - there are numerous amounts of layers, (lining, tulle to add fullness, silk and the lace itself). This dress is shorter at the front and has a dipped hemline at the back - great for elongating your legs! For my hat, I chose to go with a navy sinamay disc and oodles of swirls! I love this shape hat - It's a great size for racing, the style is eye-catching and it looks good when made all in the one colour. My clutch is from another Irish designer; Pauric Sweeney. I got it as a gift at Christmas, I've been dying to get the chance to wear it. Navys, silvers and blues are great colours together so I thought it worked perfectly! I'm looking forward to another great day at the races tomorrow. You can follow me on Instagram for updates during the day!
