What an incredible day yesterday at the Cheltenham Races. I'm not sure where to start with this post as I'm still a little lost for words! I'm completely shocked, overwhelmed, excited and delighted to have been awarded 'best dressed lady' at the races. My fantastic prize was a €3,000 Boodles necklace, a hotel/spa weekend, shopping vouchers and much more worth over €20,000. (Crazzzzy!) My outfit: You may notice from my previous blog posts that I love any excuse to dress up - The Cheltenham Races are the perfect opportunity! I spotted this dress last weekend. I immediately fell in love with the colour - Emerald green is a colour I don't see in the shops that much so I was thrilled to come across this dress! I decided to go with a raspberry/green/gold theme for my outfit. After I chose my dress, I started to design my hat. The main part of the hat is made from raspberry silk fabric and gold lace applique. I adore this gold lace. It's handmade and hand painted - each pearl and diamante is individually hand sewn on. The work is so intricate but the results are worth it! We're having a fantastic week here in Cheltenham. I'm so honoured to have won the title of best dressed lady - It was undoubtedly beyond my wildest dreams!
